Black Allegedly an Ink Color at Databazaar

A visitor to Databazaar Complaints, Fred, is alleging that he ordered a printer cartridge from Databazaar's selection of HP compatible color print cartridges. Fred was surprised to find that Databazaar had shipped a black printer cartridge to him. Fred further alleges that when he called Databazaar to complain, David at Databazaar was a jerk and explained to him that black is a color.

It is true that black is a legitimate ink color, but haven't we collectively decided that color printer cartridges and black printer cartridges are two different things? If Databazaar considers black to be a color, why should they even bother designating any ink cartridges as "color ink cartridges." If Databazaar defines ink color in this way, they should just classify all of their cartridges generically as "ink cartridges."

It is very possible, Fred made a mistake with his order. Perhaps, Fred misunderstood the Databazaar Web site. Perhaps, Fred should have more carefully read the details of the product he was ordering before placing it his virtual shopping cart. If Fred ordered the wrong item, then the error is primarily his fault. Fred's story, however, reveals a problem at Databazaar. If Fred's story is true, Databazaar's Customer Service Department did not treat him with kindness or respect. If being treated with kindness and respect is important to you, consider Fred's story the next time you think about ordering from Databazaar. You can gauge the quality of a company by the way it treats its customers.
